That's alot of performance mods!!
Where did you get the pulley done? And the bonnet stripes?

I'm having a hard time finding a decent shop around the island that has performed
mods on MINIs. Just mostly wheels and exhaust systems.

I mostly have cosmetic mods; chrome mirrors, stubby antenna, front Euro plate,
clear side repeaters, and MINI stuff in the interior. MINIhune only has 420 miles, not even broken in yet.

If I try the High Performance Driving School on April 26 at HRP, I'll have a better idea what my "limitations" are and where to improve....via mods. Since I have the MC and not the MCS, thus far, there hasn't been much proven mods to improve other than the JCW upgrade.

Maybe after a few auto-x events, I'll start modding...mostly suspension and wheels/tires. Just curious, where do you plan on "utilizing" all your mods? Must be serious with the V 1, after all, this is a small island!!!

So far I have the madness intake, Quicksilver exhaust, H-sport springs, Madness rear swaybar, BMP tower strut brace, adjustable H-sport control arms-lower pair.

And today I added the rebored 61mm throttlebody. Took about 30 minutes, done by Goodyear at Kapolei while I was at work (just walked back to my office). Not hard, they reused all my stock hose clamps so it looks like I have a stock TB- cool. The car is smoother on acceleration- consistent with about a 5HP gain across the 3000 to 6000 rpm range I would guess. It is very drivable- no problems. I will check the mpg difference if any later. First will test performance.

Stock...except for the driver.

Beastmaster, aren't you forgetting those 18" wheels & tires?

Nah, those aren't really mods as they don't make the car faster.

What happened to the "driver". Did he get an upgrade or two? Did you download a driver program like in Matrix?
>>Beastmaster, aren't you forgetting those 18" wheels & tires?
Yeah. I was thinking you were really going stock and had your old wheels to change back to.
The 18s don't make you slower! Unless you consider them mostly for looks or show.
The Parada 2s exude performance. Hard to hide that. Granny might not be impressed but most potential buyers would take notice.

I can change back to the light 16 inchers with run flats, but I'd have to take it off the other Cooper.

The 18s have more stick and better turn in response, but as they are heavier they make the car slower.

I see. I guess you are good to go then. Hate to do anything to your mom's cooper if it ain't broke- don't fix it.

That's why if you have 18s -more power is good! Add a pulley. You'll forget you have heavy wheels. They might screech a bit more. Turn off the DSC if that hurts your ears too much.
