Silverstar H7s for $5.50

Just a heads up: saw at the Kunia Wally World the German-made Sylvania Silverstar H7 bulbs are on clearance for 70% off or $11/pair.

They fit:
High Beams (all models)
Low Beams (cars without HID)
Fog Lights (early 2002 models)

The package claims 4000K color and they are lightly blue-tinted, but they don't really match the HIDs; I think the PIAA xtreme white is suggested for that but costs 7x as much Just a bit whiter than stock but not really brighter: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...4&postcount=42
At low voltage (eg with DRL) they are as yellow as stock.

Is only the H7 on sale (i.e. : other fitments too)? Where and what is Wally World?

Only the H7 is on clearance at Wal-Mart; the others there are $43. Sylvania unfortunately does not make the H11 so no matching fog lamps for me!

The Silverstar bulbs are now offered through your dealers so they are a approved bulb to use..... Part#63-21-0-399-677 H7 sells for $44.95pr

No thanks, I think I'd rather pay $11 at Walmart.

Remember....You get what you pay for......You buy them from there, you have no warrenty if something should happen ( if you care ). We find customers using aftermarket bulbs that fry or melt the lens or sockets and we do not cover them. I looked online and cant even find Silverstars for that cheap or even close.

Are you talking about the European Osram Silverstars because I doubt a US dealer is selling those because they are not DOT approved and illegal

Aren't you getting the same product as what you referenced the dealer is now selling? It's not a knock-off, this is Wal-Mart we're talking about.

They sell other sizes of the Silverstars for the regular prices - it's just that the H7 is on clearance; hence, the outrageous price. Maybe it's just this particular Wal Mart or the Wal Marts in Hawaii only though.

Are you saying that if you use the EXACT same part but just buy it from another source than MINI parts, it voids the warranty?

ARE YOU SERIOUS???

Pretty much...YES.......If you buy a product that you didnt buy from a dealer and dont have proof of buying it there, you dont have a warrenty. I know it sounds stupid but thats BMW/MINIs call. I will def ask the rep next time he is in.

Please do because it is exactly that type of price gouging that will cost MINI/BMW in the long run. Not everyone can afford to run off and buy, for example, MINIs Rallye Lights for $400 plus $450 in installation when they can get the equivalent or better thing for $150 elsewhere and DIY.

I totally understand with what your saying and agree at the sametime even though i work for them.....I asked one of my service advisors and he states " even if the products are the same but were bought outside from the dealer your warrenty is not covered if said part defects and ruins something on the car "......I still will confirm this with the rep though for you guys.
