SLS Banquet

We had the SLS Awards Banquet tonight. Had a decent turnout. Awards were handed out to the 2005 Champions and goodies were passed out in the many drawings too. Pyratio's old DSM gang had a good showing of people. Only two MINIs though.

Here's a photo of bgrpph receiving his 2005 Ltd. FWD award.

If it is a Peake tool, it doesn't read ABS codes.

Some kind of program you run off of computer and cables go into ODB2.

I was thinking it might be a sensor too. with my lack of MINI experience and electronics knowledge on new cars, I just wanted other opinions and hopefully some help taking a closer look at it. Im hoping little things like these dont keep me from joining superlap in the future. If you or Barry have the time next week I would appreciate the help on getting together to take a closer look.
casey.

Well I guess this is my final post for this thread for the 2005 SuperLap Series (I will start a 2006 thread when the season starts). Here is a pretty cool vid file of the 2005 season that Mike K. of Super Lap put together : http://www.superlapseries.com/Assets/Video/2005SLS.wmv

bgrpph, eastsidemini, and dakinemini make appearances in the clip.

Hope to see more MINIs in the 2006 Super Lap season!

I believe the OBD-II software only handles the service engine soon SES codes- it does some other monitoring of engine parameters but i don't see anything with brakes.

I see, so basically it's like the Peake tool - like Beast said. Anyways, I think if it's not something mechanical (like sensor loose, sensor blocked, etc.) then it's something major like ABS system has a problem; therefore, he'd have to take it into the dealer if our little investigation finds nothing we can fix.

Barry did you check out the link to the video? It's a long version of the one they showed last night (and also on the little DVD they handed-out). Pretty cool.
