Best "mini-savvy" service rep at the BMW dealership?

Greetings,
Can anyone recommend the best service rep now that Tony has left BMW? I was referred to "someone" who didn't return my phone call. (Let's leave it at that..) I've got a list a mile long of quirky things (left speaker goes out, headlights don't turn off...even when it's in the fully off position), etc. etc.
alohas...

Well, Tony WAS the MINI "go-to" guy.

He took care of me when needed now he's gone .
He even took his Black MCS with him to the mainland.

The veteran MINI service advisor is Eric.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip ... and thanks for the news about Tony. Hope he's on to good things on the mainland.

Huh? Tony's on the mainland? I just saw him driving his MCS in Hawaii Kai yesterday.

Hi, Lazule! Steve F. assisted me not too long ago and was of great help. He was knowledgeable, upfront, and kept me updated throughout the day. Much luck to you:smile:

Jill - I was just at the dealership looking at some 3 series and noticed the SA crew. The one that has been there the longest is Mike McDonald as he's been there at least 4 years. The next senior guy may be Dan Inches and he's only been there about a year/year and a half. After that it is probably Jenny who's been there as a receptionist and then switched over to the SA ranks. Turnover in that department is really high since the old guys like, Gilbert Lucero, Steve Chun and Mark Yamamoto left. Gilbert is still there, but he's selling cars.

Wait, Rhonda has been there a real long time, at least 10 years, but she is rarely up front.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendations. Am wondering if any of these service reps might be more inclined to dealing with a female? As in, "please take me seriously...my head lights really do stay on after I've turned them off."

I had the same problem but with my tail lights of all things. I just got used to flicking the headlights on and off and that seems to take care of it. It dosen't happen all that much, maybe three times since I got the car in July of '04.

I've worked with Eric on some minor warranty issues previously and he's good. He is schedlued to install my JCW '05 upgrade kit on Friday. The SA said he just returned from MINI school on the mainland so I'm hoping for a FAST and professional install!

Aloha!

my very first service on my 1st mini was with mike mcdonald. everything went smoothly. now that tony's gone, i wouldn't hesitate to go back to mike.

but i'd still rather work with a guy or lady who drives a mini.

My bad......let me edit that.

Tony will be going back to the mainland. (At least that's what he told me)

Aloha folks!-

Quick FYI. Got my MCS back this past Friday after getting the JCW upgrade installed aong with some very minor warranty work (peeling paint on cupholder and loose door handle cup).

Eric and his mechanics did a great job. JCW install went well and I was able to retain my stock components (airbox and injectors).

Good to go!

Aloha!

(I'm venting one more time...)

MINI-savvy....aiyah! I called to make an appointment and when I explained to the SA what my problems were,

I said, "I have a CVT..."
and the SA said, "A what? CVP?"
I said, "um, no, CVT...you know, continuously variable transmission..."
He said, "what did you call it, CVP?"
I said, "Um, I said, CVT, you know, like steptronics,"
He says, "Oh, ok, gotcha"

I wanted to die! But I'll hold judgement until I actually take my car in on Saturday. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt since I can understand he's new. CVP? too funny!

I wonder if you are talking to the shuttle driver or the landscape maintenance person.

I had adam for my last servicing and he did a great job.
That person who answered your phone call either had a "Bad" connection or was pulling your leg like on that TV commercial where the guy only says "No"

Lets hope you do fine.
