I would like to go.
I might need to take my daughter to the airport on the 19th, not sure on the time because I'm still looking for some decent tickets. She's going to Iowa for a 2 week writing course then visit a friend then music camp for 4 weeks then the US Chess open tournament in Florida for a week. That weekend my son might be in Florida at a North American Youth chess tournament.
You guys can decide and I will see if I can make it.

I got some commitments for Sunday the 20th, so Saturday the 19th is better for me. We need an inspiring view for this meeting. Puu Ualakaa State Park? Magic Island? Kahala Beach Park? Diamond Head Lookout? Triangle Park? San Souci?

Erik808,
Aloha and welcome back.
I guess it is summer now or soon so you have a little more juggle time in your busy schedule?
I do see some posts from you on Hawaiiforum (SCCA) now and then.
Please do join us when you can. It's summer so we would like to do things more.
For those who don't know Erik808 is the Mini MC master of autoX in our area.
His modded MC zips around so fast that it will make you wonder if it really is a rebadged MCS.
No joke.

Do we want to make Hawaii MINI Motoring Club decals for our windows?
In rainbow colors? Silver? White and black? Helix13.com can make it for us or we can do them locally.
Smaller size is OK for side windows in the rear 1.5 to 2 " tall.
Hawaii Tapa Motif on both sides front and end?
Like XXXXXXXXX Hawaii MINI Motoring Club XXXXXXXXXXXX
Similar to that used on UH football uniforms.

Aloha DVLMINI!
We wish you could make it, too!
The Hawaii MINI Motoring Club hopes to have many more events like this throughout the year. Perhaps even a BIG membership drive of some sort at the end of the summer.....all of this is really still in the works. If you're ever in Hawaii (Island of Oahu), please do come and check us out. You'll find that there are very few of us who wear XXL or XXXL shirts....and many of us are "sistahs" (including myself).
hmmmm.....are you asking if we'd be interested in doing the Memorial Day MINI Parade next year? Probably! Keep the club in mind for next year's planning. Us MINI Owners are always looking for good reasons to motor!

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend. During the 5 months I spend on Oahu for Tears of the Sun...most of our (the lghting department) shirts went to Teamsters...
However, I'm well aware of the sistahs..and we were able to give away many 'baby doll" Hollywood Set lighting shirts.
I bought DVL 1 from Mini of Hawaii..still have the plate. I'm sorry you're stuck with the service problem over there.
re; Memorial Day..yes I'm inviting you to join what we're trying to make as a national event. We'll be doing press releases, can give you our art to make shirts, etc, It would be great to get all the states in on one event...or MORE>
This was just my way of starting things. We'll post pics and updates, and video if the TV people turn out.
Aloha and Mahalo for letting me drop in on your thread.

Bummer, can't get a map since I don't have an address.
From the West side
Take the Punahou offramp
Stay in the left lane and proceed on Punahou Street
Take a left turn at Nehoa Street
Right turn at Makiki Street
Take the right fork and follow the road onto Round Top Drive
Follow Round Top Drive until you pass the lookout area (this will be easy to figure out)
Follow the road and it will lead you to a hairpin turn maybe 1/2 mile past the lookout
There will be a gate at the hairpin, follow it up and you are in the park
From the East Side
Take the Wilder offramp
Follow the road to Punahou Street
Make a right turn on Punahou
Take a left turn at Nehoa Street
Right turn at Makiki Street
Take the right fork and follow the road onto Round Top Drive
Follow Round Top Drive until you pass the lookout area (this will be easy to figure out)
