Hi  . Any motorer know of a cool travel agent who could put together an interisland weekend package to a higher-end hotel (say, the Grand Wailea, the Hilton Waikoloa,...) for me? Thank you & have super Super Bowl Sundays, everyone !!

Hey Erik.....this was my specialty when I was doing event coordination. Unfortunately, my contacts are old, so my resources are pretty limited. I would suggest calling either Panda Travel or Pleasant Island Holidays. They can custom make interisland vacation packages for you. What Island do you want to go to.....I can make a few suggestions. Let me know if there is some way I can help. I also know people at both Panda and Pleasant that can help you.

(By the way, Pleasant Island Holidays is a subsidiary of Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays which happens to be the BIGGEST US travel wholesaler.....so they rates are usually pretty competitive.)

Hi erik....I called around for you to check to see what some of my friends could do for you....they will get back to me and I'll email you from there.

BUT, I just thought of another route to go on. There is a US travel wholesaler called Classic Custom Vacations who specializes in high-end vacations. If you check out their website....it looks like they are now allowing comsumers to book direct with them. Try building your "dream" vacation there, and see what the price is like. They are one of the top US travel wholesalers, so they're rates are also very competitive. Also, since they specialize in high-end vacations....the only resorts they have contracts with are the nice romantic ones.

Here are my suggestions. I've stayed at all of these places.....and they are absolutely beautiful. Of course, I'm partial to the ASTON properties because that's where I used to work....but they definately aren't 5Star properties. Call me or email me if you have further questions.

Big Island
*****Hapuna Prince
****Hilton Waikoloa
***ASTON Shores at Waikoloa or Ohana Keauhou Beach Resort

Maui
*****The Fairmont Kea Lani Reorts
****Maui Prince
***ASTON Ka`anapali Beach Resort

Yeah, I agree. With my weird ideas and mini-t's refined taste, we could do it....but we'll have to talk more about the discount!

erik....email me the dates you are looking at traveling.

*keikilee: Thanks for looking into this for little ole me. You've been nothing but super cool since we got our black MINIs back in the summer

*mini-t: Thanks for the heads-up. However, I don't think that Chevron's candy bar/soda machines really require reservations . He's all set to play golf across the pond but you're holding him up. Hurry!

To KEIKILEE:

I thank you for all of your invaluable assistance. Your half-a-dozen lengthy, thorough, concise e-mails provided me with much to go on. You gave me a clear picture of what I wanted & who to contact to make it happen.

What can I say... the ILH kicks a$$
