Viper model 350HV alarm.

As well as a Kel-Tec .380 loaded with Federal Hydroshocks in pocket at all times.

Seems to be a good combo so far, beats all heck out of the MINI autolocks.

MINI wheel locks and alarm package I installed myself, plus a powerlifter's fist through the face of any who try to steal the car.

mini alarm
some common sense of where not to park
and stealth, stealth, stealth - in other words do not make every mod so public, like stereo stickers, etc.

stealth is by far the best method i must say

Car cover during the day and at work, parked in the garage at night. Don't leave anything within plain sight inside the car, put everything of value in the boot. Don't leave the keys in the ignition with the engine running....ha,ha!!

I keep my MINI so dirty - no moron in his right mind would want to get near it!

I have faith in the ignition-disabling system in the MINI, so I don't worry about it being stolen. I park on the street in Boston, and I do put a Club on the wheel just to discourage the local beady-eyed punks from messing with it.

I keep meaning to track down one of those dummy blinking LEDs. I can't park within a block of my apartment, so an actual alarm is useless to me. Car alarms in the city bug the hell out of me.

I use a 92D. I find I am much more accurate with it.

I also use GEOTRAK which gives me a phone call if the vehicle is moved 1/4 mile +-. The message tells me the 100 block, street, city, state, zip code, direction of travel and speed.

I'm actually more accurate with my "pimp gun", a nickel plated Smith & Wesson 586. Snub nose .357 baybee!

Now, that GEOTRAK is pretty interesting, but car thieves can't go very far on this island! Maybe a thief will steal your MINI and police will recover it in better condition. There was a story in Road and Track about 20 years ago about someones BMW getting stolen and when it was recovered, it had new seats, radiator and even a new paint job!
