Cruise with Us (Hawaii) Sept 30, 9am

I got an email from HMMCS for the next cruise this weekend-

Fellow Mini Enthusiasts,
Our next big cruise will be Sunday 30 September, at 9 am. We will meet at Sandy's Beach Park and take H-1, H-2 to Haleiwa (per Peter's request) and have lunch in Haleiwa Town. I will post more details on stop points, and lunch location after 18 Sept.

There will be prizes for some simple games of observation. Food will be at your own expense. However, I will be bringing fruit, pastries, and coffee to Sandy's to get us fired up.

---------------------
Not sure on the exact route but-
Sandy Beach to H1 west to H2 north then up to northshore it looks like.

If so I might pick up with the caravan over redhill or something since I live in MINIlani... er I mean Mililani. Doesn't seem that good to drive to Sandy's only to drive back to Mililani then on to Northshore.

This cruise is being put together by our club Secretary, Annessa. If I understand the cruise correctly, the whole cruise will be one big game; therefore, it'd be a waste to join the cruise midway. Come on out to Sandy's and check out what we are up to!

Oops, you are correct. Better to start at Sandy's if that IS the case which I think is the intent of the cruise + game.

OK, 9am at Sandy's it is. Thanks for the clarification.

I assume rain or shine.

Prizes look good.

Do we need to bring a navigator or something? Are the games ok for one driver only?

Rain or shine, though ChiliWORKs may not show up if it rains.

One driver is fine.

Rain!

Just put a big ole plastic car cover on and drive around with a slit for the front windshield.

Rain?!?! Oh no! Darn, haven't seen Sam in a while.

There might be construction in the Sandy's Beach area but hopefully we'll be able to park in a decent manner.

I packed the prizes & radios (by the way, if anyone has Motorola type radios, please bring them as we only have 4), and will pick up two jugs of coffee (and maybe some Beard Papa too, though Annessa will be bringing danish).

See you folks in a while!

Good to see everyone.

Sorry I was delayed (had to take care of an early morning hospital admission)

Glad I was able to catch up to the group at stop #2. Didn't know that shopping center had grown so large.

Good turnout and 2 classic minis joined in. Great to see them.

Some new faces. Welcome all.

Eddie won the CG lock- nice. He had three Aces on the cards. I had one Ace and 6,5,4,3 (almost a straight). No luck.

Weather was mostly good. mid 80s and mostly clear. We drove about 46 miles one way.

Thanks for catching up to us.

Eddie's CG Lock was donated by Kaimoku (mahalo to Troy).

Gonzo (Sean) won the "guess the total mileage" game and won a two day MINI rental (courtesy of Little Hawaii Rentals - mahalo to Kenric).
