GP Factory Exhaust Mods

Went from a 2022 JCW Hardtop with a JCW pro exhaust to my current 2021 GP with factory exhaust. Looking for more exhaust sound from the factory exhaust before going the JCW pro route. Has anyone tried modifying the factory exhaust by removing the resonator as that seems to be one of the main differences between the two exhausts? Thanks

If you plan to track the GP be aware that a lot of circuits have noise regulations.

Ive seen GP3 owners install JCW Pro exhausts for better sound.

Thats where my GP3 exhaust (Installed on my S) came from!!

On my ‘22 JCW hardtop, I picked up some nice burbles and occasional pops with the JCW Pro exhaust fully open and in sport mode. Are you experiencing the same with the GP?

With the exhaust fully open, do you notice any difference in exhaust sound volume or burbles/pops in GP mode?

thanks

Let me clear up the confusion.
I have an S.
Installed the GP3 exhaust, that used to belong to the guy in the video.
It went from him, to another member that lives out here, then to me.

It's tame in normal driving mode, but a little deeper.
Sport, I do get the shift buribles, and deceleration pops.
In Sport + M , it's meaner, loud shift burbles, deep pops in deceleration.

How many miles on your GP? The exhaust gets louder with mileage.

Sorry for the confusion, makes perfect sense now. Glad to hear the GP exhaust is working well on your car.

Almost 8k miles now on the GP, always driven in manual and GP mode.

Interested in knowing as well. I only have 1300 miles and the stock exhaust is darn near silent.

Just ticked over 13000 miles and there has been a noticeable difference in the exhaust sound. It is no where near what my JCW with the Pro Exhaust sounded like, but it is a hellva a lot better than the first day I drove it.

The GP3 has more of a “British” sound!!
I like it as it’s subtle until you open the car up.
