Rear bumper valance GP2

In October, my GP2 was rear ended at a traffic light. The damage was fairly light and I was hoping for a quick repair. Unfortunately, the body shop is having trouble sourcing the rear bumper valance. It’s been 5 months and they are being told that MINI needs to make one. Arghh! Who knows how long that might take!

Any thoughts on getting one ASAP?

Which piece exactly? There are a lot of them I can see which needs to be replaced.

@ECSTuning may be able to help.

The only back-ordered part is the main rear bumper cover. I’ve checked Turner. Back-ordered. Checking ECS Tuning is a good idea. I’ll do that. Thanks!

Looks like “back ordered” on the ECS side too

Assume you need the non-PDC version

Perhaps contact "Anthony" at BMW Parts Hub (Otto's BMW in West Chester PA). He was very helpful by searching BMW parts warehouse inventory in Germany to locate one of only three (as of last Fall) OEM replacement door panels for my R53 remaining in the world, as well as OEM JCW Sport Suspension coils from same warehouses, not otherwise available in the USA. If you reach him, please give him my kind regards...

Thanks for the lead! I’m reaching out to Anthony. Their site indicates that the cover is discontinued……

Thanks JackMac!
I spent my Junior High years in the Jenkintown part of Phillyburbia and High School in Berwin. Enjoyed both.

Hello,

On back order, it might come back but it will be a while. We have seen suppliers on the MINI side with major delays.

Here is the work around.

https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/51120413367/

Then put two false sensors in. https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/66209196705/ x 2 they fill the holes.

Terrific! Good to know! The latest word from BMW/MINI gives us an April ETA on the “official” part. If that turns out to be “fake news” we’ll this one a shot. Thanks!

I especially like having the part number for the false sensors.

Yep, production on some parts just gets pushed back. I have seen it on some parts since about 2020 on. At least we have an option as a back up.

Just an update both the non PDC and PDC version are NLA. Only version is the PDC version which we have in aftermarket with duffuser trim linked above.
