There are plenty pics of those massive 6 piston brakes online. Clearly had an adjustable suspension. Did not learn or see anything new, but nice to be able to get a closer look.

JCW Countryman is here too. Looks nice in person.

@JackMac, any impressions or thoughts after seeing it in person?

Did the interior look unique? I know this may not be final production, but what does the interior look like?

Any thoughts or impressions would be great.

Are those roof graphics or is there a raised edge on the roof like the Clubman? Also, it doesn't look like the same Thunder Blue as our GPs. Looks more like High-class gray.

It is not thunder blue, they are calling it thunder grey.

It is reported that the roof graphics are merely that graphics. No raised edge.

I'd think of removing the roof graphics provided I could get a replacement set if I wanted to reapply in the future.

Quick impressions...

- Color is darker than expected
- Yes, roof is graphics, not raised
- It had the Recaros (front and back in this one)
- Stance is perfect
- Tires are 215/40 R17 (same as seen before)
- Rear diffuser looks great in person

Not too crazy about the color, but that is subjective. The performance of the car is what will set it apart.

Remove the graphics and its great looking. But as it sits it kinda looks like someone got sticker happy with an R56 JCW.

But as with the 1st one. I bet I will love it in person

Here are some shots that I took today.

Batman was driving...

It was hard to take shots of the interior with the glare on the windows...

I did notice that the seat belts were not red but in a previous picture that JackMac posted they were. So we won't know what the interior will really look like until the official release.

THANK YOU! I'm so Jonesing for this car. Wish I knew if the final will have the leather JCW dash, carbon fiber shifter, extra gauges or NAV. Looks great not the road! I love the way the red of the brakes shows so well when driving. What's up with Batman?

They obviously new people would take pictures so the driving would want to be anonymous since he will be over the internet soon. So in true MINI spirit you can't just have a guy with a black mask...he has to be in few Batman attire!

As for the NAV, I don't think it will. Everything else you mentioned...only time will tell

I am not a HUGE fan of the graphics but in person the car really does look very sharp. It stands out from the crowd...but not too much. It has a very mean look when driving.

Might be a thread on this already. You can get the Recaro seats.

JackMac & John - thanks for all the pics! Yeah, the stance on this car is just right. I'm getting used to the graphics, but I would like to have seen the headlight rings done in Thunder Gray. Granted, I like body color headlight rings anyway, but with every MINI coming off the line with chrome, it would have been a nice, clean and different look. Just my 2 cents...

Damn, they're really good at parking with the wheel spokes at 12, 3, 6, 9 'o clock. Always hiding the damn front brakes....

The brakes are just HUGE and therefor can't help but have some portion of the calipers covered by the chunky 17" rims. These are virtually the same front 6 piston units found on the BMW 135i. Noticeably bigger than standard JCW.

Here is an example:
