How to install Racing Harness into the GP

I have a gp and I want to put racing harness in but I am totally stumped .
I looked to where I can connect it and there is no place to hook it on.

Has anyone done that install yet?

I emailed Detroit Tuned about a month ago and have heard nothing yet. Reckon they ignored me, don't know an answer, or don't care.

i responded to a few e-mails about putting a harness in a GP. Maybe your junk mail filter snagged them? if you would like to know more, just give me a call. i would be happy to give you the needed info.

Peter,
I'd say that they didn't get your email. I will contact Ian and post the pictures on the GP site soon.

I've posted Rics pics on GPMINI.net, and I must say Ric that I'm VERY impressed with the work you did, especially how you managed to keep the looks of the GP!

Visit this Gallery to see all Rics pics (and I hope I gave sensible descriptions for them!)

I went with the Schroth Ralley 3 Harness, it's not a quick fit but bolt in. I used a G-Force Set Belt Mounting Back-Up Plate GF-100. Quick and easy install with out cutting up the GP to much.

Looks good, but appears to be a bit longer span than connecting at the orig back seat locations. Gives a lower angle to shoulders, but wonder about additional belt stretch because of the added length?
The belts will stretch on impact, but do not know how much?

Schroth Says "you absolutely do not want to have a tail strap that angles down more than 45 degrees from a line parallel to the ground." Also "Make sure there is approx. 4 inches (10 cm) of loose belt protruding from each shoulder belt adjuster." I have over 4 inches of loose belt protruding from all adjustment points, under 45 degrees and I assume Schroth would not have made it to long. If I ever need it I hope I'm correct, Rabbit's Foot and Rosary in glove box just in case
