Good news about JCW brake pads
I don't have a GP but do have the JCW brakes. If you haven't read the Q&A by Gabe of MotoringFile you may want to check it out. It has some nice info on the upcoming R56. Especially one that interest myself and most here in the GP forum.
I asked if the pads on the R56 will be compatible with the JCW brakes and they are. As Gabe said. "So I'm told by Jeff Stracco". That's good news as aftermarket companies should start producing performance pads that will fit our brakes. It's always nice to have more choices.

A lot less then stock,
They do also brake a lot better, and they are not noisy.
I have been running these on my street car for the past 15K
The DS2500 compound is what brembo use in some of their big brake kits

The DS2500 pad is my favorite pad for fast road and track days.
Combined with a good brake fluid (I use motul RBF600) they never gave me any problems on the track, no more brake fade.
Also they are not too agressive on the rotors, and no gring noise at all.
The only Hawk pads that I tried, were noisy as hell and made an unbelivable amount of dust (I do not rember the compound)

Thanks for posting about the Ferodos.
I checked with MINI USA and they said call your dealer , so i did and they said No the rotrs are different and won't fit. So does anyone know of a replacement rotor for the JCW brakes that is drilled and sloted?
I hope you don't want these for track use. Slotted yes. Drilled, not a very good idea for the track. Txwerks is working on GP rotors. Give them a PM.
I believe they are on the way.

they would be used on track, i was'nt going to change them at all, i just like the look of the Drilled ones, plus their OEM
GP Brake Pads
carbotech will put their brake material on your worn out jcw pads with no surcharge. I've been very happy with carbotech on the track. If you have two sets of jcw pads, you can rotate them.
I'm going to wear out my jcw pads before I do this. Shouldn't take too long on the track. I just got my mini, so I'm still working things out. The brakes faded with everything all stock, but now I have ducting and ate-blue, I'm hoping for better results.
If you look at race cars (for instance at an ALMS race) you won't even see slots on the rotors. Solid plain iron is what you see. Nothing to exacerbate stress. This is what I use if I can get it. (Can be hard with BBK)
