Just wondering. I think it would be a cool looking mod - racier than the painted bar grill that they came with.

I changed out my grill to the Aero grill, this past weekend. It looks fantastic, and matches the lower grill. A paint-matched Aero grill would be interesting though....

If GP didnt have slat grill, I would not have bought it.

I'm glad it has slat grill... it's old school, like a Genuine Mk.1 Morris Cooper S.

So, I can't count on you to try my little experiment?

One in favor of factory slat grill. Check. I don't think the color- matched Aero grill would work as well with my LY.

I liked the slats too and the fact they painted the surround makes it that much better.

The aero grill looks very good too though!

I personally don't think the painted will look as good since the lower grille is black as are the grilles up near the windshield. I have the black aero-grille (see pics) and am really happy with the way it looks.

I agree with you about the black matching the lower grill - I think it looks great. I hadn't thought of that originally.

I was just thinking that since the GPs came with a color-matched grill, having the Aero grill painted would make a subtle but noticeable change. I'd still like to see one.

What about a painted surround on the areo grill. That would look good.
