Good news on MINI2 this AM 230 hp, less weight (aluminium) and a warranty

"Power output apparently has settled at around 230 bhp, but more interesting is the fact that at least on major component, the huge clamshell bonnet, is due to be constructed using lightweight aluminium, and other panels still could be changed from standard specification to trim off some of the bulk."

Just a thought as long as Bertone is going to be making the bonnet out of aluminum wouldn't this be a great time to enlarge the hood scoop to get more cold air over the intercooler. It wouldn't seem to cost them very much, we'd get the benifit of cooler air and their would be little problem with warrenty.
