My GP has been Revolution'd
A timing chain tensioner and 8 rocker failures resulted in new Revolution engine project. The car was started for the first time since the project began (13 October) this past Thursday, 12 January and dyno tuned at Helix on Friday.
I cannot thank Jan enough for all the hard work his shop did to build the engine, to German Auto Group in Springfield, VA for all the initial repairs and the car rebuild process once the engine was received, Eric at Helix for the hours he spent between other projects on Friday to dyno the car and coordinate the graphs across the country to Jan, and to Jan for tuning the car.
I called Jan from the first service plaza outside Philly on my way back to D.C. to let him know that this car is SCARY FAST!!

No, I did not change the pulley. I wanted to maintain driveability around town as well as maintain the lower amount of engine heat produced by the pulley…..and not the least of which being my conversation with Jan about the keeping the JCW pulley (yes, I know it is 11.4% and would make more power with a smaller pulley say 15% or 17%). I am also keeping the stock ignition wires and coil pack based on my conversation with Jan.
Next few months:
- Stage 2 Brakes (rotors/pads/lines/fluid)
- Schroth Harness Driver/Passenger
- Group4Autosport Aero Dynamics
- Revolution Oil Cooler (to be added May/June)
- Angel-Eye Lights
- Coil-over Group-Buy (if I can get it past the wife)

Now THAT is classic! The most impressive list of mods you could possibly put together and then you're worried about that? What is another three grand in cross coilovers?
I bet it's awesome! Enjoy!
