Possibly looking to get a GP

Hi all,

I currently own a '11 MCS, and I may trade it with a GP, if things go well.

Anyhow, I have one question regarding the seats. Are the GP seats supposed to be cloth, or were there an option to get heated leather seats. The one I'm looking has leather seats, just wanted to make sure it is all stock.

thanks!

Make the switch...I too went from an R56 to a GP and never looked back , you won't regret!

GP seats are half leather/half cloth...and they are heated.

Thanks for the reply.

It is hard tell from the picture of the car, but it looks like this car have full leather seats which are silver with gray contrast in bolsters. I will see the car over the weekend, but just want to know if the seats are stock.

I honestly prefer cloth.

In all probability, they are the standard GP seats which are leather bolsters and woven center sections. There were full black leather optional seats that were offered in GB and, as I understand, can still be ordered...approx. $2,000+ each!

If you post a link to the photos or post a photo of the seat we can tell you if the seats are US OEM, GB OEM, or aftermarket.

Those are the original US GP seats.

Awesome, thank you!
Btw, what do you guys think about the price of this car? ~5,900miles, $28,800.

The price seems high to me but it does have relatively low miles.
One thing to consider or determine since the car has low miles, what warranty repairs have been completed.
A few normal items repaired on 2006 cars under warranty are:
- Engine Mount
- Thermostat Housing Leak
- Oil Pan Gasket Leak (sometimes a crankshaft seal leak)

Wait what? I did not know that.. Thought that all GPs had full-leather seats. Mine does

The standard US GP seats aren't my thing, don't like them as they miss the support the Recaro's give.

Eh... the deal won't happen. He offered 20k to my 2011 Cooper S which has 8k miles I guess I will look around, and sell this car myself then go from there.

Bummer it didn't work out... does that mean the GP is fair game for everyone else?

I'd love to get my hands on it. Unfortunately the travel expenses alone put this one way out of my league. I don't think I could buy myself a GP without some hands on time.
