GP 0766 For Sale any info..???
GP 0766 is for sale does anyone know the story about 0766? Its on ebay and it says that it has been in some sort of accident and has been repainted. Maybe something worth buying as a track car. Help please!
Yeah I got in touch with the dealer and we worked out a deal on the car upon a mini cert. inspection which is happening tomorrow. I'm still unsure if I'm making the right move knowing that it has rear end damage although it has been repaired. Anythoughts anyone? I would mainly use this car as a track car.

Could make a great track car I think it was a one owner

It's changed hands a couple times, since the original owner only 9k was put on the car but that's when it got in it's mysterious accident. Their are welds in the rear passenger quarter panel so we shall see what the deal is tomorrow.
The E-Bay listing says West Chester, PA, which is about 20 miles west of Philadelphia. Obviously, the rating of 92 cannot be valid since there is evidence of repairs. Just was never reported by the shop that did the work. Best advice I can give is, for those that live around that area, or are willing to drive up that way and see it in person, take it for a spin and see how it drives. If a full wheel alignment comes back good, then it might be worth it. You might want to also check with PhillyMINI club members. Maybe one of them is familiar with the history.
As for the air bag light being stuck on, it probably needs to be reset after being rear-ended. That was the case when my old '02 MCS was rear-ended back in 2007, for which the rear bumper had to be replaced. My guess is if they disconnected the air bag sensor temporarily, it will trip the circuit.
Low tire wear kinda stinks. Might be able to negotiate the price down a little since they are almost worn out. Cheapest I ever saw a GP on NAM was $23,500, and that was about a year ago. Not sure what they are going for now.
