What are you paying at the pump?
Boo..
We had to make a family emergency and had to make an unexpected trip into the city (Chicago) from the suburbs yesterday. We paid $4.49 - only bought 2 gallons it's at least .20 cheaper in the suburbs. The price is supposed to keep rising.
$4.25 a gal. at the Exxon across from work today in Miami. I paid $3.99 premium at a Hess last Thursday by my house and still have more than 3/4 tank. This is nuts. By this time next year people will be saying, "do I fill my tank or go without eating this week".
A pal of mine is considering leaving his present position for a less paying job closer to home. He's estimated he'd about break even due to his weekly fuel costs. And he doesn't even drive an SUV! He's already cut his landline phone and is turning off cable to save a few bucks a month. Actually, basic cable here in Miami is about $75 a month so its more than just a few bucks if you add it up by the end of the year.

In Plantation, just outside of Fort Lauderdale $3.99 @ the crazy Chervon by the Turnpike; $4.19 @ the Mobile Station...and $4.09 in Hollywood...Picked up my Coop this evening and parked my Xterra in the garage until Saturday...
Ok, so maybe i am just not understanding this thing with the cost to fill up....I pay $3.95 in PA and it cost me $55 to fill up. Granted I do normally let it get really low (like down to about 10-15 miles til empty) but still, why does it cost me so much more to fill my tank when I'm paying so much less than you Cali folks? Any thoughts?
a friend of mine has a super-duty truck.
they got $100 worth before they were automatically cut off
so they had to go to another gas station to get the other $85 to finish filling the tank
