The official smokin' burnout video thread

First up... CookemKurt with Swifty!
http://youtube.com/profile?user=89AKurt

Please note: done on a closed race course. One of the EMTs I've traded cigars with filmed with my PowerShot camera. Turn up the volume!

I've seen two videos somewhere on NAM before, one on a private parkinglot and another in a group maybe on private property. If that's you please post here.

Tires slightly worn.

Dr., you must have something?

Eric, jealously will get you nowhere (nor releasing the parking brake).

I was looking at a TireRack flier...

Khumo (I think) is selling tires that smoke in different colors for drifting and burn-out competitions! Then the smoke can match the paint.... What will they think of next?

WOO!!!
I would like to see more.

Infact i would like to see MINIs exert more "MINI muscle" on club runs.

Turn off that ASC! (All-Season Tractoin Controll)

Nope - burnouts aren't about speed. You got the smoke thing down.

89AKurt, Speaking of the E-Brake. I've always wanted to do this but now i sold my FWD car so now i can't. In your next vido get 2 trays from McD's and put under yer back tires, yank the E and HAVE FUN!

Or better yet, do a rally stage using the e-brake on hairpin turns. The right snow conditions are fun to, but really dicey.

Yes! either or 89AKurt! Actually film both! We don't have snow here, we
can't wait to take the MINI to the snow and see how it handles/slides
around.

This is my burout video. It was supposed to be a drag race but I just
turned off the TSC and stomped it. I left some ruber on the parking lot.

Yeah, I've seen that before. Prolly a few years ago by now. I have no sound where I'm at (library), but is that the one with Enter Sandman playing?

Thanks for posting... even though it's not a MINI. I can't believe the tires lasted as long.

burnouts are indeed cool. but wat a waste of tires.
i also saw the tires that give off colored smoke. pretty cool i'll say. but i still find it a waste of rubber.
that is..unless you're using cheap worn out tires.

Trilogy Motorsports makes the biggest selling supercharger kit for the Marauder. Depending on the state of tune and the depth of your pockets, you can get close to 600 HP to the rear wheels without touching anything on the motor below the intake manifold. Most of the Trilogy cars are pushing about 450 - 475 HP. There are one or two Marauders out there that are doing 1/4 miles times under 11 secs. Considering a Marauder weighs over 4200 lbs, that is impressive. It is really impressive to have 4 full sized guys in the car and still snap your neck when the driver hits the noise pedal.

Billy G's car in the video has a Trilogy kit, 4.11 rear end, and a better intercooler. He has line locks on the front brakes too.

I'm ignorant, is that like a parking brake for just the front? I was wondering how the back brakes were handling that.

Yes, it is a race car thing. It locks the front breaks up for you.

Hello,
New here and new to FWD. My last two projects were an '03 Cobra and BMW 330ci. Since i'm new to the FWD i'm still adjusting to it. I bought a 2007 Mini Cooper SAttachment 27784. Love it so far. I love getting the quirky looks!!Ive ordered quite a few goodies already. But my first question is this. I got an auto for the first time in my life and i'm regreting it. But at the time the auto tranny was the only choice I had. But anyway, is it possible to do burnouts with the auto? And how? I'm about to put new wheels and rubber and i'm curious. Thanks in advance.
Tony
