You do everything to your drivetrain that you were always told not to do!

Please note that the good Doctor was cheating. See the water on the pavement at the very begining? ;^)

You need a way to brake the tires loose...

So, you have to have lots of power, or do some of the tricks that others use. Like to do a burn out at the drags, they use some sort of liquid to help. In the GIF above, we used some water. with a manual, you can rev and dump the clutch. With an auto, you can also use a bit of brake to help add drag on the rear end, or even use the parking brake. Never tried it in an auto Mini, let us know how it works out.

See? Water doesn't smoke like used oil.
Make sure both rear wheel brakes are working correctly (mine have been acting up).

But really...

that just helped with braking the tires loose, and once out of the puddle (and that didn't take long) the water was out of the picture.... Used oil might stick around a bit longer as it wouldn't vaporize as fast as the tires heated, and heat they did!

As an aside, it seems appropriate that this thread appears adjacent to the "Who's blown their Midlands" thread in New Posts at 6:18 pm CST...
