IMPORTANT! Help the MINI win in the Cars.com face-off!
The link should be on every page to make it as easy as possible to find, so:
http://www.cars.com/go/great-car-faceoff/
For those who frequent other forums, including smaller local ones, it would be prudent to spread the word.
And do NOT vote multiple times, at least not from the same computer. Apparently this doesn't work, and even worse, if done enough, they will discount your original vote also...

I've been periodically checking (hitting the refresh buttom) throughout the evening, and while nearly 200 votes have come-in, the percentages have not changed (53/47). This tells me that both camps are getting in their votes...
To be honest, I'm not sure why the website (cars.com) thinks the Z is an underdog in this competition. While the fervor for both cars is quite strong, and both were released in 2003 (I think the Z was also), I believe more Z's have been sold as their forum membership numbers would seem to also indicate. With a larger universe of Z drivers/owners (if true), I think we are doing remarkably well in conveying our passion...
The good news to the winner is that this IS the final, that's for sure. The vote count in the other semi is much less...

I've been placing the link in every post I make on Mini2 and other forums.

Quit using your right hand to vote, use your left.
...another bump... As of the moment:
MINI = 2047 votes (47%)
350Z = 2309 votes. (53%)
MINI is only losing by 262 votes! ...but it has been roughly the same percentages since Friday. Which basically means that for each vote we get, they also get one so we actually need to find twice the difference to close the gap - over 500 votes at the moment.
I know you are out there, go vote for the Little Guy!

DO NOT CLEAR YOUR COOKIES AND TRY TO VOTE AGAIN.
I already read that cars.com is monitering IP addresses and will possibly remove votes that come repeatedly from the same address including the original vote. Stop wasting your time.
You can vote from different PCs but NOT the same PC.

something seems a little strange...
We are approaching almost 1,000 added votes in less than a day, yet no change? I never saw a change, and it seems that no else has either (53/47). I wonder if their website is having difficulty keeping-up with the computations, and just logging raw numbers accuately. Heck, the Tahoe/X5 ratio has not changed either...
Maybe I'm just missing something because I don't see the raw numbers as Mini2Go posted:
MINI = 2047 votes (47%)
350Z = 2309 votes. (53%)
Did you actually see those on the site, or simply calculated them? After voting, or checking to see status, I just see the an overall raw number of votes, and a percentage for each car...
IF I'm correct, I would expect to see a change in the percenatages when this is rectified; and I have no idea if we are further behind, closer, or ahead...

It is somewhat peculiar that the percentages hardly seem to move at all - but I did see 46/54 on Friday.
Also, if you want to check on your IP address (there are many ways), here is one: http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/
As an fyi, my laptop and pc, both from home, show the same IP address. An IP address is like a ZIP code if you will. A MAC address is like a social security number, and "burned" into a device. So, folks voting multiple times from different computers at the same location (gateway) are most likely registering the same IP address...

Ugh. Slipping in the wrong direction!
After reading some of the 350Z forum, there is a lot of respect being shown to the MINI - not all of them are talking smack, just a few (naturally we've got a few of that ilk around here, too.)
Time is running out... get those last chance votes in!

Agreed. There are a few bad apples in every bunch typically, but all in all, they seem to be a fine group of guys...
Truth be told, I think the 350Z does have the sexiest lines out there! I've been in the mkt for a RWD convertible for a while now (Spring/Summer ride), and keep coming back to the Z, but while I love the coupe's look, the convert just does nothing for me. Some cars look good with no top, and others don't (opinion of course)...
I see we have a MINI guy over there stirring-up the pot a little. Drag racing though? RWD, displacement (hp & torque), longer wheel base... It's all fun!
Don't throw-in the towel yet guys on this voting...
