Does your MINI have a name?
My wife and I are "negotiating" names right now. She doesn't get the whole name thing and I haven't been into anthropomorhizing inanimate objects at any time in my life. Still, our beatiful, sexy spice orange S convertible screams for a name of some kind.
I've got a bunch of ideas but none of them have stuck. Because of the orange and black colors, it speaks of two things: tigers and halloween. The latter is interesting since we bought the car on October 31! Some ideas we've had (but nothing has stuck yet):

- Tigger
- Hobbes (from Calvin and Hobbes)
- Jack (as in jack-o-lantern)
- Jaqui (same as Jack but feminine)
- Ginger
- Sher Khan (from "Jungle Book")
- Elsa (lioness rather than tiger from "Born Free")
- Otsu Maguro ("spicy tuna" as in the sushi)

I don't name my vehicles, but in passing mine has been called the Minty Cooper.
My co-workers celebrated its arrival with peppermint bark, after-dinner mints, peppermint tea, Mentos, and thin mint cookies.

So Veronica's Secret ???
I'm not sure if the Countryman has it, but since the dash is so similar it must have it. The dash trim directly above the glove box, push it and it will open. I owned my Cooper for 1 week before my friend pushed it and opened it up. I had no idea.

When I posted pics of the car I had on order to Facebook, a friend from high school commented "Well, Pip Pip, Cheerio!" and Pip just stuck. I am surprised however how MUCH it has stuck. It's no longer "Are we taking my car or yours?" Its: "Are we taking Pip or the convertible" At home for the holidays, all my relatives wanted to "see Pip" not "see the new car" Kinda funny, but everyone seems to recognize how much personality our cars have.
