Well bretherin, I dont know if you heard. Motoring File reported that in the 2011 refresh, BRG will be retired for ...... BRG II! They say it will have a little more gold in it. Here is the exerpt:

"Next up MINI is finally killing British Racing Green. But the replacement isn’t’ the Connaught Green we had hoped for. Instead MINI will be replacing BRG with… BRG. Yes MINI is very slightly refining BRG and calling with British Racing Green II. BRG II has a deeper base color and almost a gold tinge to it. It is much richer and our sources think nicer than current BRG"

thoughts?

 

I like the idea of a deeper base color, but not sure about the "gold tinge."

I want Connaught Green!

I am interested to see what the color looks like. It sounds intriguing.

 

I like my dark British Racing Green. When the light hits it right, it has plenty of "pop".

 

Pick up Beelzebufo earlier this week! The name comes from an extinct species of frog meaning 'The frog from hell.' It was also possibly the biggest frog to have existed.

heh, I was gonna name my new toy Kermit the BoRG, but I see someone else already used that name.

 

Picked up my new car yesterday and absolutely LOVE IT!

For 7 years I've dreamed of getting my own MCS. BRG was always the colour I wanted and now I've got it!



I don't have a name yet but as it's my daily driver I'm sure it won't take long. I've got a couple of more pictures in my gallery.

Somehow missed this thread when I picked up my BRG 'just-a-cooper' last March. Had wanted a BRG since 2002 as a senior in HS when i saw my first Cooper. Just took her down to MOTD 2010 and had a blast.

It's a 2010 with Sport, Premium, and Cold Weather packages, and I totally love it! Great community here too.

 

I love that so many people have the BRG cars. I also love the black stripes with the white trimmed edges. I'm going to have to get me some of those . I wasn't sure about the black roof initially but it has grown on me a lot and now I changed the chrome side scuttles out for the black jack ones it looks even better!! The chrome mirror caps might have to go though...

Does anyone have any pictures of a BRG with the Black Jack sunroof decal? I'm interested in getting it but I'm concerned the one with the holes will look funny and wear quickly.

I had wanted a cooper since I was in college and having lived in England until I was a teenager BRG was the only color that I could possibly take !!

I still don't have any pictures of Caroline... They're all on my home computer and I only look on here while I'm at work... I really should upload some.

 

Yeah, I didn't even know the "pinstriped" stripes were available until I saw this one.
