Ordered mine. Hands on in October -- err, when I get back from this business trip, in December. I guess the wife will do the honors of taking delivery.

I can hear it now -- "What, I'm sure those 10,000 km were from when they drove it down here from the factory. I didn't drive it, I swear!"

And iDarkDesign, I am shocked that you didn't go for orange. Have you no national pride?

I realize that I'm a little late here, but I LOVE Astro Black. No, I didn't choose it, but its definitely one of my favorite colors MINI offers. Its low profile and stealth looking, plus you gotta love the bluish tint!

I love the car and the color (after I got used to it), I just got to tint the windows and get the plastic fenders color matched.

Iceman: NICE!!!

I'm going with a skull and crossbones on my roof as well. Still trying to figure out a cool-looking design. Did you come up with yours, or was it an option somewhere and you just bought it? Very cool!

We searched and searched for the perfect skull and found this one at a party store on a Halloween bag. The graphics place just scanned it and blew it up and cut it out of white vinyl-it's awesome!!

I love my AB/S color scheme!

I picked AB over the HB for the Checkmate package because nothing goes better with silver than black. I saw AB for the first time in person after I ordered my car.

And now that I have my car (for two whopping days) I love it more than ever. It seems to have hints of blue and silver in the metallic.

Its beautiful, pics this weekend.

Just curious. Has anyone ever seen a twin for my car? (ie. same color, wheels, MC, etc...)

Sorta like this one? wheels are just a tad different but the mono looks great. I also just changed out my orange side lights with black ones.

Yesterday I slapped in a silver Bonnet Scoop into my 06 AB.... Didn't really like the U stripe... but I think the silver scoop looks sharp... goes with the roof/mirrors and shows off the intercooler inlet...

Great looking Coopers, people!

But. . .

I need to see pics of an AB (Moonlight Black Metallic, which sounds better anyway. . . ) with PAINTED ARCHES!

I looked at a picture of my car in the sun the other day and noticed the bad contrast between the dynamic AB paint and the flat plain black arch plastic. . .

I think it will be a must when everyone sees what it looks like. It's on my list, but it's a long list.

So if anyone has it done I would love to see it!

-Steve

Astro Black

Can somebody/Has anybody posted photos of their AB MCS with the black plastic trim painted (wheel well trim, spoilers)?

Also, has anybody else noticed that photos don't do justice to AB? It just doesn't photograph well, but looks fabulous in person.

roehrigs01, nice photos! For some reason, even though I've only been there twice, I knew as soon as I viewed your pics that you were in Hawaii! Pretty unforgettable landscape, I guess

You just need to know how to photograph well ... I think I have some decent (close to real life) photos in my gallery.
