Well, my "Mach 5" AB/PS MCS is ON THE BOAT!! Is it too early to "register"?

Drillslinger: As long as you have a production number you are welcome
to the "Registry"

mbutterf: I can not wait for winter to end. I have been neglecting MIB. Thankfully
D&R has a weekly car wash every Saturday. But yes MIB needs a thorough
Detailing.

Representin' the Midwest!

Props to all those cats rollin' in their Astro Black MINI's as I am now a proud member of this special fraternity. "Darkness!" (as my MINI has come to be known) is an '06 AB/W MCS with Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, H/K and LSD. Anybody who happens to be motorin' through Omaha, you simply gotta let me know and we'll let our MINI's stretch their legs.

Peas,

J

Hey even I am considering Flat Black stripes for MIB!

No trim for MIB though.

Well, my Astro Black MCS has arrived "in the flesh" and a name has been agreed on

Pics of "D.B" (for "Drill Bit") will be posted once I get her cleaned up (and the rain stops)

Here is Moneypenny- a 2006 MCSc- all four packages, leather, H/k, LSD, and nav. A few minor mods including chrome bits on the boot, German Plate on the front, parcel shelf and MTH coming soon.

You can see how in this picture it almost looks blue-ish.

Here's Judy. I took delivery of her on Monday. She's a replacement for my wrecked 2004 BRG/W MC.

Mmm - they both have their merits. The Aero grill is factory and has that going for it - but the M7 in black? I think that would look pretty darned good. As well as making it a little individual...

I'm still on the fence for now...

MrsDiff and I are still thinking about flat black bonnet stripes for MIB. No White trim. Subtle... Stealthy...

As to cleaning products I use Mequiar's Gold Class car wash and 100% cotton towels. I cut off all the edging so there's nothing to scratch the car, no swirlies either. I use Invis-A-Glass on the windows with a good microfiber cloth. I use Simple Green and a toothbrush on the wheels. I do them first. It takes longer to clean the wheels than wash the car! Inside I vacumm and use a horsehair brush to clean the dust off most of the dash and vents (no scratches). I have Leatherette seats and they just take a simple wipe with a damp microfiber cloth. I stay on top of the inside of the car and vacumm every week and never park with the windows down anywhere. We are getting ready to do the whole Zaino treatment on the car to protect the finish and make her shine like the stars!

new bling

Lousy picture quality. Ditched the 16" 5stars and runflats in favor of 17" Ultraleggeras and Kumhos. Significantly lighter wheel/tire combo and much stickier. Better ride by far when combined with the Sport Suspension Plus on this car.

I do believe black and navy blue are a faux pas.

Am picking mine up tomorrow. Tooling around on NAM instead of sleeping because I am quite frankly too juiced up about it to sleep.
