My husband could not pass up on the loaded up Astro Black Mini Cooper S in the showroom the other day. He had been thinking about it ever since he saw it on the lot three weeks ago, when I picked up my HC Clubman. He picks it up tonight. Now to pay off the last 3 months of the lease on our other car and turn it back in. So, I guess he will need to register now.

 

Well, we picked it a new Astro black Cooper S tonight. My husband's user name will be Dark Knight. It looks great under the night sky.

I have the R53 in AB/Silver, and I like the lower beltline on the earlier models (compared to the R56). That said, I saw an AB at MOTD a couple weeks ago with a blacked-out beltline, and another with a red/GP maroon beltline. Gotta say that makes all the difference in the WORLD to how the R56 looks - looked sweet. The one with the red was AB/AB - ni-ice. Talk about dark knight...

Funny you should mention that! Nope...the car is still at Southampton dock waiting to be loaded onto a boat. It's only been about 2 weeks since placing my order, so probably another two to go.

I was just trying to figure out the production week and get into a "support group" for that week. I think that it's week 18, but not sure. Should contact my MA to confirm.

YOUR AB MINI looks great! How do you like it? I was watching some video clips on YouTube and heard some R53's and the beautiful sound that supercharger makes! Kinda makes me want one. If my R56 turns out to be a car that I love (which is looking that way right now!), who knows? Maybe an R53 as a Sunday driver?????

My R56 has a CAI, silver bulbs for the turn signals, (give it the clear look) Fuctional scoop, aftermarket speakers, 3in exhaust. On order are eibach sport springs for the drop, 16x7 Kazera's, summer max performance tires, M7 intercooler race bezel, track camera, new ECU, tinted glass, and a M7 ground spliter for the front. I am contemplating swapping my chrome exterior parts for fiberglass....AFTER I get the go faster parts. Currently the CAr and I can be found in Germany

1. No mods just yet, just got a month and half ago, unless you include a few wax jobs. My household has two minis to modify, so mods will go slow , unless one of us gets a huge promotion soon.

2. 4 inch antennae(on order) , windows tinted all around, wheel flares,side skirts and front & rear spoilers painted body color. Black-out kit for all chrome and beltline or they will be painted body color, front splitter, 18 inch wheels, and painted calipers.

3. Covington, Ky (across Ohio river from Cincinnati, Ohio)

4. Love the ambient lighting at night.

 

That sounds like a great looking MINI... I'll have to keep an eye out for you..

I have an 07 AB MCS w/beige leather interior. It currently has a stubby antenna from Minspeed, a Forge CAI and 10% tint all around. After Saturday I will have a 19mm sway bar from Minspeed and H&R Springs.

Its unfortunately located in Knoxville, TN and wishing it was at home in FL.

I love the sound of the recirculator valve w/the Forge CAI.
