Hello everyone,

My name is Dylan Jr., and I am a new member from California seeking some advice.

I am reaching out for community input regarding the convertible "Top Down" gauge. I personally find its utility limited and am interested in exploring more practical alternatives.
I would like to know how many members have swapped out this gauge for something else. I am considering converting it into a temperature gauge and believe I saw a relevant accessory on the official MINI USA website.

Does anyone have any other recommendations or ideas for utilizing that gauge position more effectively?

Thank you in advance for your assistance and insights.

Dylanjr

Craven Speed has some nice gauges that match the MINI interior, along with the senders and adapters. Coolant temp would be a good choice.

Unfortunately, the "Openometer" is integrated into the tach housing and unique to the convertibles. BUT, that doesn't mean it can't be modified...
