Replacing the tabs that hold my driver side window pull down sun shield.

I ordered and received the parts but when I went to remove screw my Phillips screwdriver didn’t fit..
The factory ones are kind of hexagon. Any thoughts or do I take it to my local mechanic and have him replace. I like to try to do myself when I can.

That's a Torx screw, MINI and most Euro manufacturers use a lot of them. Go to the hardware store and buy a set of Torx screwdrivers, T20, T25, and T30 are widely used on MINIs.

Yep get the torx screw driver set, great to have for any euro car. They should look like this. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben...eces/sd-t6pcs/

I have other T handle ones and they are for if you are going to really but some load on them, most jobs you just need the normal handle like the schwaben tool.

These are great if you have big bits and taking out seat bolts, transmission bolts etc. . https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben.../012599sch01a/

Thank you once again for the info… I bought a set of 4 on Amazon and it was the 20 one that fit. I felt quite chauffed I did it myself!!🤗 I had driven it out of garage for better light and to put up my Halloween lights and a few hours later got in it to drive back into the garage and it was dead as a Dodo.. 🙁 Kind of rained on my parade.🤣. Had it towed to my mechanic and pretty sure it is just the battery
which I can deal with…
