iphone 15 and R56 connection

Regrettably I am bringing about a question that has troubled Mini owners for years. With the advent of iPhones with USB-C connectors, it is again a problem that I hope someone has solved. The problem is how to get the 30 pin connector to work with a usb-c iPhone. Any help with a cable/connector that actually works would be appreciated. In the past I had a 30 pin to lightning interface that worked. Adding a simple lightning to usb-c adapter from Amazon did not work for me. Help!

I use a bouvee Bluetooth adapter and swapped my cigarette lighter with the pic. I have an r53 and that’s how I connect Waze and Pandora to the Aux connection, yes iPhone 15 pro max.

You can see the bouvee

I would suggest to try official Apple USB-C to Lightning adapter. I don't know if it'll help specifically with Y-cable, but it did work for some people I know with CarPlay where other adapters from Amazon wouldn't.

Here is the paragraph from the product page:
This adapter supports connection to most cars including those that work with CarPlay. You can also directly connect a USB cable from your car into the USB-C connector on your iPhone.
And here is the link:

Thanks. I just found that item. I previously used Apple 30 pin to Lightning adapter successfully on earlier iPhone.

Bovee Bluetooth adapter and a plain charging cable or MagSafe mount. Works like a charm for my iPhone 15 pro
