Clutch and other issues due to accident
Hello all! I have a single owner 2010 S Convertible with 25,000 miles on it. I'll try to summarize as best I can. Was involved in a right rear quarter panel accident on 1/29/2023. Drove car home about 1 mile though it was barely driveable. Since it's a convertible it had to be towed to body shop then back and forth more than once to dealer remove and reinstall top. Car came back 4 months later after final body work. Drove it away from body shop, clutch screamed and barely was operable. While in the care of body shop, towing and dealer, the temperature sensor was missing. The thermostat was causing fluid leak and had to be replaced. And the clutch is completely shot and is being replaced. This car was in perfect working order prior to the accident. My insurance claims it's all wear and tear and they won't pay. Yet not these were problems until the moment of the accident. An independent agency looked at the car for the insurance company and said the clutch is wear and tear. My mechanic thinks the whole thing is suspicious. Any advice or words of wisdom? Thank you!
BTW, I was hit by a car, which flipped over after being hit by a red light runner. Could have been a horrible outcome for my daughter and I.
