Instrument replacement
Instrument replacement
05’ r52. Previous owner replaced the instrument cluster so the mileage isn’t correct. That’s ok for me but the seatbelt and air bag lights will not go off. The run flat light is also on.
Codes tell me the belt tensioner is at fault. I’ve cleaned the terminals but light still on. Do the tensioners have a history of going out? I believe the air bag light is connected with this issue because there aren’t any air bag codes specifically activated.
I’ve reset the tpms but it comes back on. The tires are all pressurized correctly and are wearing evenly.
Is it possible the lights are on because the instrument cluster is not coded to this cars VIN?
my apologies if this has been covered elsewhere. I looked but could not find this exact question.
Thanks
