My 2013 R56 was fine and i think I have a key fob issue. It will unlock and lock the doors but when you put it in the slot no longer recognizes the fob. It was intermittent at first then happening more often. Then noting! I replaced the battery and same issue. Like a dope,, I tested the unlock and the put the windows down with the key fob and it is sitting in the driveway all open now. I am going to order a new fob tonight but the dealer is trying to tell me it may be a diagnostic issue. What do you think? One time I even banged the key on the steering wheel and it worked. That no longer works. Crazy!

 

If you put the physical key in the door and turn to lock the car, the windows will roll up.

Well I couldn't find that thread, sorry. But while searching, other people with your issue had their problem solved by getting a new fob, so hopefully you can get one quickly.

I don't remember why the other person I'm thinking of replaced their key slot, but that's probably the next step if a new fob doesn't fix it.
