Faulty Key Fob

Good Evening! I just purchased a 2013 Countryman S. It came with two fobs and one of them will only start the car - but will not lock/unlock. When I first tried, it would not even start it, but I seem to have that issue sorted. The seller said that he hasn't used the fob in the 2 years he has had the car. I changed out the batter and tried a few solutions I found online but so far no luck. I am going to put it on my toothbrush charger tonight (even though I think that is not for my key type - mine has a 2032 inside) for grins. If no one here has any insight, I suppose I will be off to the dealer in the next few days. Any and all advice is appreciated. Cheers!

You shouldn't try to charge non-rechargeable batteries. The 2032 is not rechargeable.

Comfort Access keys have removable 2032 battery, you can buy a blister pack of them on Amazon for not much cash.
