Dead 04 jcw S

Trying to bring back my dead mini S. She been stored for 10 yrs.
Will need to change all the fluids, but first the battery. Any ideas how to open the boot? I pulled the release under the seat. It went click but the hatch doesn’t open. Both doors are unlocked. Now what??
Thanks in advance

If you pulled the release and then went around to open the hatch by your self, try it with another person pulling on the hatch at the same time you pull on the cable. The hinges might be stiff or the hatch might be stuck to the seals and not popping far enough to clear the latch when the cable is released.

You should also be able use the jump/charging terminal next to the air cleaner to power up the car and use the hatch handle button.

Just the battery and popped the boot open it must of been locked for the pull dongle not to completely work.

Was a time capsule in the boot Mini mags from 2009. Fuel gauge worked only a quarter tank full I have empty out...

Onward... aired the tires. Looks like an original dead Mini battery. Have to find somehow to lift it out no handle.
Next week change the oils and buy a battery
