I am sure he can drive the Mini quite well, as attested by 80 in a 25 MPH zone. Only if he know to steal one without the 80 lb sunroof and he could have gotten away scot-free.

He's lucky to be alive. MINI crash safety meant he didn't get a Darwin award.

Sad thing is he will be back out and doing it again in no time. 1sr DWI should cost you your license permanently! We give way too many chances to screw up in this country.

Idiot DUI driver running from the cops. The MINI did not keep him alive it was the fact that he was drunk. A drunk driver hardly ever gets hurt in a crash because their body goes limp and just bounces around.

At least no one in the house was hurt.

You may not always be aware of it but drivers like this one are around you everytime you back out of your driveway. I was an MSF motorcycle safety instructor for many years and from day one the emphasis for safe vehicle operation was/is always to drive defensively. Hazards can come at you anytime and from anyplace, including ones self-created lIke texting while driving. Help solve the problem, rather than be part of it.
