Use of an auto recycler/salvage yard
Was having trouble with a rear hatch R57 and not wanting to invest a ton of money in a solution I contacted ARK Auto recycling in Lakeland, Florida. Turns out that they have over 200 MINIs that are being parted out and the young man that I was on the phone with sure knew a whole lot more then the dealership. A quick conversation and he was out in the yard looking at the part I needed and putting a 1-5 grade on it. 3 days later and I have a part that’s better looking than the one I removed. Very knowledgeable and good customer service. Thank you ARK.
Great to know about! In the same line I’ve had good experiences with ALLMAG Auto in the Tampa, Fl area. They break up MINIs, BMWs and other German cars. Good service, fair pricing.

I too have had dealings with ALLMAG and have been happy with their service. They are also NAM site sponsors and sponsors/vendors at MOTD. I try to use site sponsors when possible. YMMV
