I've located a couple used superchargers at salvage yards with an average price of about $500. Have no idea on the condition other than what I am told by the yard. My other option is to have my supercharged remanufactured at pse superchargers for around $700. Anyone have any experience with salvage yard superchargers or Pse?

 

Would your s/c carry a warranty after it was remanufactured? Can it be ported and polished at the same time? The salvage yard part, I can guess, does not have a warranty, and might have sat outside a while...perhaps at an odd angle. Do they have the milage of the salvaged s/c?

 

After the remanufacture the s/c i believe will carry a one year warranty and it can be ported and polished at the same time. My problem with my supercharger as it stands is that it seems to have the fairly common problem with the water pump drive gear/no oil/etc. If it goes out for remanufacture I assume this problem will be fixed, however I've read on other threads that it is impossible to fix this problem due to Eaton not releasing the parts. I guess I'll have to verify with PSE

The Salvage yards don't seem to like to give out the mileage or they don't know it. Which doesn't really matter to me because my s/c has gone bad with only 30K miles on it. They just say/list them as good or working condition.
