Looking for salvage yard with MCS AC unit

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a salvage yard that might have the AC compressor assembly for a 2003 MCS. I've been all over the net and I've seen a few for the MC, but not the MCS. Apparently the clutch assembly and compressor are 1 part in the MCS and that part along with install at the dealership is $1400. I found a good local shop that will do it for $1100, but I would like to find a slightly used system if I can to save a few $$.

www.car-part.com it searches junk yards live inventory and gives you prices.... you wont find the mini cooper under the M category, you have to find it as a BMW-Mini Cooper

Not there:(

I tried the online search and they didn't have it. I went ahead and submitted a request for them to have other yards check for such an item. Thanks for the info.

I just checked car-part.com and they have two pages of them listed. Some of them specify MCS.

To stupid to search

I searched on the clutch since that is the part that actually is out, but since it is not sold seperately from the compressor that screwed me up. I needed to look under the compressor. Thanks for the help guys I have a line on a "A" grade used one fro $200 versus the 900 some for a new one.

Since it is just the clutch that is out, you may be able to take the clutch off the new compressor and use it without having to open the refrigerant lines. That alone will save you $$ since you won't have to recharge the AC.
