Well I Just Bought An 05 Mini Cooper S (Yellow and Black) if it ever stops raining ill wash it and get some pics . But it already has a slight problem.... Or a few... Ive put about 1k on it already (had it for a week) and I just noticed this odd metalic rattling noise coming from the car whenever I take off in first gear going uphill or when I'm in the lower rpms in second going uphill quite slowly? It kind of sounds like my exhaust is rattling but ive checked the heat shielding and the exhaust itself to no avail so I was thinking that It might be some Kind of drive train issue?

I also noticed that my right motor mount has a couple of spots of dark brownish black goo just below it that run down the side of the frame? Every vehicle that Ive owned has always had solid mounts but im guessing the leaking means that that ones blown, oh and for the actual question is it covered under the cars warrenty?

(Actual questions for those with ADHD is there some kind of problem with the mini's drive train that causes a rattling noise under load in the low rpm's? Are the motor mounts covered in the warrenty and if its leaking does it mean its blown?)

Take it to the dealer. Motor mount is bad and sounds like you have a clutch going bad, both covered under warranty.
