Winter conditions - Side door window opening

Hi All,

2006 MCS Soft top. Toronto Canada, temp -15DegC (~0degF), -25C (-15F) with wind chill.

What do you do with the framless windows in icey conditions. When you open the door the window drops a few mm. I do my best to clear snow and ice but the first open of the day is sometimes a little jerky/noisier than i would like (ice cracking).
Does anyone oil/lubricate the window seal with anything special?
Short of pouring hot water etc. (which could lead to worsening the issue if it refreezes while driving)
Also did mini account for winter conditions with this framless desing, as in if it cant move it stops trying?

Open to any creative suggestions.
Thanks

That is quite possibly the worst sound I hear on icy days (minneapolis). I press on the top of the window just a bit to try and break free the ice and seal contact.

I know your pain though

I use 303 Rubber Seal Protectant on all the rubber seals on my car. Doesn't get quite that cold here, but it seams to help on the icy mornings. Can't hurt in any case.
Ordered from Amazon.

I use the gummi pflege on my convertible and rubber seals.

It stops. The little nudge down only runs a second whether the window moves or not.
