Thought you guys might think this is funny...

So today in one of my Facebook MINI groups, someone posted the following question:

You know you drive an R53 when...

Here are some responses:
  • When you are the only one on the road speeding up into that corner that says "slow down max speed 30"
  • When you have a back up r53 for your back up r53.....
  • When your supercharger noise outweighs your exhaust noise
  • When your a-pillar cover flies off on the freeway
  • When you fix rattle after rattle, yet it still rattles
  • When you say "No, pull the handle twice."
  • When you reach into the backseat to get a drink.
  • When you say "ouch, sorry" after hitting a bump.
  • When people say, "you definitely aren't trying to compensate for anything."
  • Front end service mode takes you 10 min, because you do it a lot.
  • You can shine a light at planes by opening your hood.
  • When you own a 13 year old car but everything on it is less than 3 years old. And your missus thinks your up to something because you keep just nipping out for 5 mins and get back an hour later.
  • When you have mental catalog of all the weird noises it makes that you're not sure it should be making.
  • When you are fixing an oil leak and find another one. True story, just replaced my valve cover gasket and it looks like my oil filter housing is leaking too.
  • When you have to decide between fixing the vanity mirror cover or breaking up with someone who insists it gets fixed.

Not sure if it translated formats very well, but have a good day and happy motoring!

...when you realize you screwed up and didn't get the R52. After all, topless motoring IS motoring at its best.

There is a very similar list to this that is like 500 items long on the e38 section of Bimmerfourms for BMW e38s. I always get a kick out of these types of lists. Thanks for posting.

OMG this is great! I would add to this list:

* When you have to be careful opening and closing the boot lid to avoid breaking that part AGAIN and causing a leak.

* When you have to hold on to your drinks on corners because the stupid cupholder flips around and spills.

* When you're seriously considering new rims that don't show the brake dust as much.

* When you swear that the next time that coolant reservoir springs a leak, you're going to buy the expensive aluminum one!

* When your mini logo on the back has lost it's black paint AGAIN.

* When you say: I know there are four seats, but really only three people fit in here, and two of them are going to be short on legroom.

Cheers,
Duane

Problem #2 solved locally: NO comestibles allowed aboard whatsoever. You need sumptin' to eat or drink, direct me to the nearest Subway...or exceptional brew pub.
