2011 r56S slight acceleration issues
Hello World!
I have had this problem for maybe half a year now, and it's not so easy to replicate so when I was at the dealer they could not find anything wrong.
Basically when I accelerate for a pass (moderate acceleration, not flooring it, but maybe 10-15% more acceleration than the average driver) in 3rd or 4th gear, SOMETIMES I will get this weird jittering/stalling/slipping for almost a second then the power comes back on.
I will start accelerating fine, and about 40 meters later it will do the above, then come back on. I thought it could be the clutch slipping, but the rpm isn't ramping up during this jittering.
Like I said, it's hard to replicate, and usually it will only happen once and then trying to replicate the same movements after it happens yields no results. Just normal acceleration.
Any ideas? What information could I fetch for you guys, cause I know my description isnt that great.

if you have a way to check codes id start there. sometimes an intermittent problem will be stored as pending and not illuminate the check engine light. usually points toward a certain cylinder misfire p030X, x=1,2,3,4.
if a single cylinder misfire, commonly it is a coil or spark plug.
if its random/multiple cylinders, prob look into hpfp

HPFP was the cause of my similar problem. Went on for many thousands of miles before throwing the codes. However a proper dealer or service level scanner will likely show the misfires before you get the warnings.
In for a response....
Happens to me too. Usually if I'm in fourth, going up a hill and try to accelerate hard to pass someone. Never happens any other time. If I remember to downshift before accelerating it doesn't happen. Just kinda assumed it was the cars way of telling me im in the wrong gear for what i want to do
