2016 Door Locks Behavior with Comfort Access

I have a 2016 MINI Cooper Convertible with Comfort Access. Locking and unlocking via the driver's side door handle sometimes has a strange behavior that I would like to understand.

If the car sits overnight, it takes a few seconds before the door will unlock after pressing the button. You can even hear a faint mechanical noise after pressing the button, like it's waking up. You have to press the button again to finally unlock the door.

Sometimes, when I press the door handle button to lock the car, the lock indicator on the door will depress about halfway. When I hit the button again, it will fully lock.

Anyone know what's going on? I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation.

(Sorry, if this is the wrong place to post. Couldn't find and F57 spot.)

I've noticed the same thing on mine, but I've only had it since Friday and I'm assuming user error. I think I don't hold the button long enough or something.

Its just a little delay, my R56 did it and the R58. Normal. You have to push it a little harder and on center for the microswithc and its like the car is communicating with the key fob for a second to make sure that its the correct key.
