Cold Exterior Trim Blackout
Cold Exterior Trim Blackout
Hey guys
I want to black out my exterior trim (headlight rings, tail lights, grille ring, door handles, gas door, side light chrome) and I dont want to wait till Spring to do so. Would Plasti Dip spray be ok to use in the cold weather? (NYC area, 30s/40s right now). Sadly I dont have a garage to do this.
Thanks
G

I think that might be too cold as you may not get an ideal outcome. Some info here.

I would not do it when cold, if you have access to take the parts off and bring them into a warm spot or garage is ideal.

IIRC the minimum recommended temperature is 65*.
My garage is not heated, but I have done some dipping in there in January. I used a space heater to warm it up as much as possible - to around 60* - and my projects turned out fine.
Also, I don't think plastidip is good on door handles, however anything that you wont touch on a regular basis should be fine and last longer.

Welcome. Much better results in the warm.
