Quick question - OBDII reader options

Hey all,

I'm trying to decide on a OBDII reader for my Clubman.

The top choice seems to be the ScangaugeII but $160 seems to be the lowest it can be found at anywhere.

Alternatively, the Kiwi 2 Bluetooth seems like a viable alternative for me (I'm an Android user) and it retails for nearly half the cost at $90.

Does anyone have experience comparing the former and latter? Does it make more sense to have the connective flexibility of the Kiwi 2 or the dedicated screen on the Scangauge?

It is a choice... I chose the SC2 and the Craven Speed mount. I don't want to have to be dicking with my phone every time I get in the car. The SC shows me intake temp, boost, water temp, and volts all the time, with a bunch of other stuff if I care to pull it up. The color matches the MINI pretty well, and I don't have to remember to take it out all the time.

I use a bluetooth ODB (bought on ebay for $20), and the Torque app for Android ($5). Works pretty good, though means you have to futz with the phone..

I have the ScanGauge. It works fine. I also use Torque with my Android and a bluetooth adapter. It works fine on the MINI but doesn't work on my RAM hemi.

I also have one of these if you are just wanting to read codes. http://amzn.com/B001LHXTO0

I was using a no name ELM327 WiFi (I use iPhone) with DashCommand.

I just the other day switched to Kiwi² with the Analog interface so that I can have AFR readings, and I will soon be adding the Exhaust Temperature analog.

I do not think that the scan gauge does analog interfaces.

What is the Analog interface? Does it do more than just plug into the OBD2 port?

Yes you can add real gauges sensors that read out on the OBDII software, I added a WideBand O² sensor and am going to add an Exhaust Gas Temp sensor.
