But I was a 1000% sure he was. I only have 16 more people to test.

Looks like my $0.02 are nothing new, but maybe an aggregation: fat face, long front overhang, and faster windshield all conspire to ruin the identity of a Mini. Not sure how much seeing it in person is gonna help.

Feel sad for the new Mini's face. No on wants to be born an ugly baby. Car looks scared :( I do like the new rear bumper. The DRLs are just the worst....

Despite the look of front looks mad, the function of its lower grill has been compromised

Looks like the f56 isn't going to have much cold air for its intercooler.

With that mentioned, the f56 is going to be very "hot"

Oh NOES!!! BMW IS KILLING THE MINI BRAND!!!!!!

There. Had to get that out of the way.

I'll wait until I see it in person. That yellow honestly doesn't do any car any favors.

Mini needs to change things up a bit. The average consumer cannot tell a 2002 from a 2012 Mini, and that is a LONG time to show no evolution. Even a car as classic as the 911 has evolved over time, and each generation had people saying "Porsche, you've killed it!"

Like I said, I'll wait until I see one in person or see a photo that isn't shot from such a distance at an angle which you never ever view a car from.

Hey, E... This angle or that angle, this color or that color, need for change or no need for change.... I just hope the car in that photo is not the final product or even close to it because the front end of that car is just butt ugly, no way around it. There is no way you make those scared-bug-eye headlights or that grill and bumper design that makes it look like the grill is trying to swallow something too big for it's mouth look good in any color, any angle or if you cover them in sugar coated chocolate with a cherry on top.

I am 100% certain that is a production version going through a film session just like when the F32 435i was leaked.

It's one thing to revolutionize a brand, it's another to bastardize a brand....and I think MINI did the latter...

LOL Ouch!!!!! I'm really hoping that claim that these photos were taken at a bad angle with a an extreme telephoto lens are accurate because as it looks terrible. R53 owners --if you thought the R56 looked bad, what do you think of the F56?

I'll speak up to that question. I didn't care for the R56 when it first came out and was damn glad I had a pair of 2006 R50s and a 2005 R53 to get me through the the third generation.

I recently ordered an R56 JCW because I heard hints about the changes coming with the F56. And I've rarely been happier with a decision. The R56 has grown on me over the years and looks like a masterpiece compared to the F56.

I'll take all this back if the production version is vastly different than these spy shots but yikes... WTH, MINI ??

Happy I got my 2013 JCW HT !
I think I'll call that new one the "FOLKSWAGON"
Since it looks like the offspring of a Fiat and a Volkswagon.

Reminds me of this guy lol

It's the eyes, SG !! Maybe that's where BMW got their idea for the F56 headlights.
