If I can find a decent '06S, prefereably JCW, it would be my next MINI since it is incredibly reliable and has a limited slip.

Very good to hear! Glad you're enjoying your MINI's and hope you continue to do so.

Thats taking it easy... , the throw out bearing was the issues on mine around 200K, otherwise the clutch disc and pressure plate was fine.

150500 here on an R53. If it was not for a pretty high ******** tolerance this car would have been traded in two years ago. However late this summer my ******** tolerance was exceeded numerous times and I'll cut this car loose late winter/early spring.

I'm really torn. I love the car, but the running costs are not worth it. My BMW E30 was loads cheaper to keep in tip top shape.

Still feels fine, pulls strong, handles great, not getting me out of it. Yeah, it has a lot highway miles, but isn't babied either.....

With an 2012 Justa Automatic. Should I leave the CVT alone or flush/fill periodically to get the most miles out of the transmission?

The 2012 Auto are the Aisin Autos 6 speed . Not CVT from Gen 1 MINIs.

Thanks for the reference - not having to jack it up make this DIY more manageable in the city! I am only at 40k, probably give the procedures a whirl around 50k.

I've got 83K on my 07 MCS (love it!), and know of one in the area with 200K+. I never get tired of driving it, or looking at it.

Trying to get the highest mileage R52 convertible award.

I have not seen or heard any high yet. Convertible MINI's don't get driven that much.

187k on my 2004 MCS..original supercharger, but it's on it's last leg. Well, the water pump anyway. Still runs good, but it's not being driven for fear of overheating. I still start it once a month and bring it to operating temp, just to keep parts from drying out completely. Debating on selling or repairing.
