moved to Florida and have a garage. A bit easier to keep clean, daily driven to work and the beach. Spend a day cleaning it, then touching up every couple days. Nothing crazy.

2006 r53 JCW. 296,000 km's. It is my road trip camping vehicle so it has fishing rod holders on the r56 roof rack and a longboard skateboard that I have attached to the roofrack to strap my Maxtrax Mini recovery boards to. About 1 million stone chips on the front from too many gravel roads and road trains

how many of you have over 150,000 miles? over 200,000 miles?

I just departed from my traditional Hondas to purchase a new mini Countryman. Each of my last three Hondas had over 200,000 miles, mostly trouble-free. Just want to know if that's possible with my new mini!
I drove my first 2005 to 256k and the second 2005 i have driven up to 140k.
I think it comes down to how hard you drive your car and keeping it maintained.

I think the better question is, how much money do you want to spend keeping a car running.

I had to put a new motor in the Mini at approx 140k miles. That's not uncommon for this French engine.

For a typical Honda, 140k miles is easy to achieve with minimal expense within the same number of years compared to a Cooper.

I've never had any of my Japanese cars eat an engine and with equivalent or higher mileage.

I’m over 150k with the B48 engine - still strong and reliable. Have done water pump and oil filter housings.

The photos of your car and your reply inspired me. I cracked open my Auto Glym clay bar kit a few days ago and gave the car a proper wash, clay bar and polish. Other than the million stone chips at the front, the dent I caused while closing the bonnet and a few shopping trolley dings it looks as shiny as yours. To say I was shocked is an understatement.
