2014 MY Minis and Dallas area Dealers

Hi
New to Minis and looking to buy a Mini from a DFW or OK dealer. The DFW area dealers are indicating the Minis are still selling so well that they won't reduce from MSRP. The OK dealers seem to be around $1000 off MSRP. Has anyone had any luck getting DFW dealers to cut the price?

Also, information about when the 2014 MY cars seems all over the place (dealers are saying 6 mos or more). Does anyone know when the 2014 models will be out?

Thanks for any help!
Kimberly

I bought a new 2013 from MINI of Dallas and they gave me $500 off MSRP in Oct or Nov.

If you are local, try the Arlington dealer. They still offer the pick up/drop off loaners for service.

Have you expressed to them that you're willing to go to one of the OK dealers who have offered you $1000 off if necessary, but that you'd prefer to buy from them? I can't imagine them throwing away business like that...

"Spring Cleaning" sales events are happening now at MINI dealerships. I know ones up here are having $1K off. So look into that

I'd like to think that MINI of Plano (Sewell) would make a deal since they are a vendor on this forum. MINI of San Antonio gave me $1500 off on my JCW order.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I may not have been aggressive enough in asking for a discount so I asked a friend to help. Thanks devicemanager, I contact Mini of SA too. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.

If anyone has any further experience with DFW dealers or can point me to salespeople who gave them good discounts, it would be appreciated!

Ask for Derek at MINI SA... or Jeff (Sales Manager).

Here's the MINI event invite for Sewell MINI in Plano.

So much of what they might discount is going to depend on their inventory and that of other dealers. Paul Harvey at Sewell is a good guy but a friend who bought a demo Certified JCW didn't get a dime. 2011 with 21K miles.

Also, log into Metroplex MINI club. Ask there.

Always a great idea! One of the most active groups in the country I'm told. The club does have a lot going on I'm happy to say.

Yep, because once you (the OP) get your MINI, you are going to want to hang with these fun folks!

Its very basic - regular Cooper with power roof and an automatic. Not very optioned up but I still love it! I bought a new car last year and decided I should have bought the Mini.

Well I placed my order for my new Mini last night. I ended up using Sewell in Plano TX rather than Moritz. Moritz was great but required financing through Mini Financial rather than an outside provider (for the extra $500 rebate) where Sewell said I could use my preferred company Penfed.

As for price, the Minis MSRP was $23,650. The deal we worked out was $23,650 including tax, title, license and all fees. This is about $1,700 off MSRP which I am very happy with (and appreciative of my salesman Adrian).

Congrats! MoP (Mini of Plano) is where I'm getting my MINI through too. Great group of people, very customer oriented!

They are a great dealership! Seems like Mini dealers are just better overall with low pressure and great service.

Congrats on the new MINI. Was this a MINI that was on the lot or do you have to wait for it?

Hi. This was on an ordered Mini. No one had the options and color I wanted.
